The post discussing this solution was here. After that, the 'F' key worked again (for me) to sprinkle sparkle (glitter) using his save game. One gamer reported this error in this bug thread and the solution was to wait until Misfortune automatically moved to the far left side of the game screen after that save was loaded. I'm sorry that you had trouble using glitter in Phantasmagoria. Everything else works, it's just like the glitter has disappeared. I can reload earlier saves and throw glitter anywhere, but sure enough in Phantasmagoria pressing Y does absolutely nothing.
